Rainbow Six Siege's LATAM League 2020 just concluded its fourteenth playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The LATAM League had some really exciting matches to watch this week, with all the matches played as a best of two format. We saw FaZe dominate Black Dragons on Coastline with a 7-3 scoreline, with the second map going all the way and resulting in a 6-6 draw. Additionally, the second match between Santos and INTZ was really surprising as INTZ was able to take both maps with ease.
The best matchup for the fourteenth playday was between FaZe and Black Dragons. The first map was played on Coastline, which is a super frag heavy map. The score went 7-3 in the favor of FaZe, with João "yoona" Gabriel Nerici showing some amazing grenade kills and clutching multiple rounds for his team. Yoona tossed a nade across the map during a 1v3 situation and went on a rampage to kill the other two defenders as Finka, which is really difficult. The second map, however, went all the way and resulted in a tie. Consulate is a super attacker sided map, and FaZe was able to win 4-2 in their defense rounds. Towards the end, Black Dragons stepped up their game and managed to tie against the competition.
Another exciting match to watch was between Santos and INTZ. The first map was played on Villa. It was very surprising to see INTZ take villa 7-2 over Santos, as Santos seemed to be confident with their skill on the map. However, Santos fraggers were unable to perform and they were only able to secure two kills each, which might have impacted their morale. The second map, Clubhouse, was also dominated by INTZ. Santos was not able to contain INTZ’s pushes and Santos had to funnel into site. The second map went 7-3 in favor of INTZ.
The final match between Furia and Team oNe was a very one-sided match. The first map was played on Villa, with T1 dominating 7-0. While neither team showed any impressive strategies, T1 was able to simply walk up and win their gunfights which led them to victory. The second map went 7-1 on Clubhouse, and it was obvious Furia didn’t do their research on T1 before heading out. Furia stuck with default strategies and some copied strategies such as the Clubhouse SSG roam, which they failed to execute.
