After spending several weeks in the test server, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 6 Season 1 Operation: Crimson Heist is now finally available on the main server. The latest season adds a new attacking operator Flores, the Border map rework, a new secondary weapon, and several extra features. Of course, many balancing changes and tons of bug fixes are also made.
New Attacker
Flores is a two-speed two-armor attack Operator. He has access to two primary weapons: AR-33 and SR-25. The former one is a fully automatic assault rifle and the latter one is a semi-automatic DMR, which is the DMR I prefer. You can also choose between either Stun Grenades or a Claymore, depending on your playstyle.
Map Rework and Secondary Gadget
As mentioned, the Border map received a rework and thankfully, it’s not a complete overhaul like Hereford Base and House. It’s mostly small tweaks, such as the expansion of 1F Bathroom and extension of 2F Archives bomb site, all for better gameplay. A new secondary weapon called GONNE-6 is given to a few attackers as well, which should make it easier to get rid of Defender’s gadgets.
Reduced Operator Price
The new season also reduced the price of several operators, including Lion and Finka now purchasable for 10,000 Renown or 240 R6 Credits. Mozzie and Gridlock are now available for only 15,000 Renown or 360 R6 Credits. While Oryx and Iana’s prices are reduced to 20,000 Renown or 480 R6 Credits.
Match Replay
The update added as well the highly-awaited feature, Match Replay. Now, you can view your previous matches from multiple perspectives including the enemies' view and top-down view. Keep in mind that the feature is currently in beta so it will have some bugs.
The update made tweaks to tons of operators and improved the QoL features of the game. Check out our previous article for more information.
