Operation Vector Glare is now live in Rainbow Six Siege. This is part of the game’s Season 2 Year 7 and introduces a new Belgian Operator named Sens. Sens brings a new weapon: the high-capacity POF-9 assault rifle. This weapon is available through the premium track of the Vector Glare Battle Pass. Those who don’t have the Battle Pass need to wait two weeks since that’s the time Sens becomes unlockable by using Renown or R6 Credits.
As an attacking operator, Sens uses the ROU Projector System gadget that creates opaque light walls to block the vision of Defenders and let allies access new tactical opportunities.
Free Updates
This new season also means free updates. There's the shooting range, for example, where players can practice the weapons of any Operator, including those that they don't own. Players can also look forward to trying out Close Quarter. This is a new map custom-built for team deathmatch, where there are no areas designed for defensive setups.
Another new feature is the new stage of the reputation system. This one targets players who repeatedly, as well as intentionally, incur the friendly fire penalty. Plus, some Operators are getting a third secondary weapon option, especially those who had an option removed when the explosive Gonne-6 was added.
Reactivation Program
The Squad Up Reactivation program offers in-game rewards for players able to convince lapsed Rainbow Six Siege players to come back and play a few rounds with them.
Those who managed to play the game since Demon Veil was launched are eligible to invite a maximum of four friends back to the game. Once they play five matches of any PvP mode, they get one reward pack per friend. The friends invited also earn a reward pack for themselves after playing those five matches. After that, those same friends become eligible to invite four other players and earn more rewards.
