Rainbow Six Siege’s The Esports Club League just concluded its final playday for division three matches. The tournament has a prize pool of $1,800, which is very high for the South Asia competitive scene. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all the matches will be held online instead of the more traditional LAN environment. The prize pool of the tournament will be split and awarded to the top five teams in every division. You can find the prize pool split here.
The ongoing The Esports Club League is a league-based competition, where every team has to face all their opponents from the same division. After all the matches are played out, every team will have earned points that are determined by the team's wins. The bottom three teams of every division then get demoted to the lower division, or even relegated if you are in division three, which is the lowest division in this league. You can watch live streams of every game on the TEC YouTube page.
The most exciting matchup for the final playday was between NAT and Live To Kill. The match was played on Theme Park, which is a very defender-sided map. The match was super exciting to watch, as we got to see the two strong teams in division three play against each other. L2K was able to win the match with a 7-3 scoreline. This match assured L2K’s spot as the best team in division three.
Another exciting match to watch was between SAW Esports and Psync Ignite. This match was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky. Kafe Dostoyevsky is a super strategy-heavy map and defender-sided map. While neither teams showed any special strategies, Psync was able to win the game with a 7-4 scoreline. This match allowed them to place third in The Esports Club League.
