It’s time for another weekly update for Red Dead Online, and for this edition we have amazing festive bonuses and tons of discounts straight from Rockstar.
Last week’s update included the release of all previously PlayStation exclusive content to all platforms, which includes game modes like Last Stand and Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Showdown. This celebratory week is very special as well, as July 4 is just around the corner, and as such you can expect themed bonuses for the next seven days in Red Dead Online.
First off, we’ve got bonus rewards and huge discounts incoming to celebrate Independence Day across the open frontier of Red Dead Online. For the adventurous, patriotic spirit, enjoy 30 percent bonus cash rate and XP gain on all Free Roam missions. This is applicable to respectable folk doing Gun for Hire missions, or shadier people doing Outlaw missions.
Gunslingers – those with noble intent or otherwise – would also do well to take advantage of the massive 30 percent off for all weapon components, including Improved Rifling to increase velocity and range, Iron Sights and Scopes for better accuracy, Stocks with various wood grains and Wraps to preserve your weapon from use and weather. If you’re someone in the market for a good, reliable firearm, the Evans Repeater is also on sale for 25 percent off this week.
Guns aren’t as good without proper maintenance, and you can expect a lot of them to degrade with this week’s festivities. As part of the celebration, merchants will be offering free Gun Oil for the next seven days to ensure all your guns are in tiptop shape. Remember to take care of your arsenal well, and it will take care of you.
Patriots can also get into the nationalistic spirit with a huge 50 percent off discount of Red, White and Blue bandanas. You can also opt into some free Red and Blue camp flags to partake in the festivities, available until July 8.
