For all the fans out there, Niantic has a very exciting revelation. At long last, Regigigas is finally coming to the hit mobile game Pokémon Go, as both a limited-time event and as an EX raid target.
The Colossal Pokémon will reportedly become the EX raid target come November. However, for those who are hoping to get a much earlier try at the gigantic and legendary pocket monster, they need to consider buying a ticket (which costs $7.99). By doing so, they can participate in the event called Colossal Discovery Special Research.
It is worth noting that the event will cost real world money. It can only be purchased using the in-game Pokémon Go currency and not with Pokécoins.
Players who are able to complete A Colossal Discovery will be reward a medal, a Sinnoh Stone, an Unova Stone, up to 10 raid passes, and a special avatar pose. After the pass is bought, players must open the mobile game on November 2 from 11 AM to 7 PM local time in order for the Special Research to appear. Once the process is done, they will have as long as they need to complete it.
Niantic revealed that the tickets will only be on sale until November 2 at 5 PM local time.
In order to prepare for the king of the Regis, Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are all expected to return to raids starting November 1 until November 4. More rock-, steel-, and ice-type pocket monsters like Aron, Geodude, Magnemite, Swinub, and Spheal are going to spawn at an increased rate in Pokémon Go. Aerodactyl, Beldum, Shuckle, Sneasel, Skarmory, and Snorunt, on the other hand, will hatch more frequently from eggs.
Niantic further stated that Pokémon Go players must be prepared to grab a Regirock, Regice, and Registeel once the Special Research is activated. That is because they are all necessary in reaching Regigigas during A Colossal Discovery. It is quite likely that the other Pokémon with increased spawn rates will be necessary for completing research tasks.
