Rick and Morty Season 3 still doesn’t have a premiere date (our best guess is looking less and less likely). Does it help to know the creators are exactly aware of how impatient you are for the premiere of new episodes?
Dan Harmon, co-creator of Rick and Morty with Justin Roiland, recorded a new episode of his podcast, Harmontown, at SXSW 2017. After a protracted dissection of an airport lounge encounter (“I don’t have to prepare for this stuff, there’s a rapist in the White House,” he said in his defense), Harmon’s co-host Jeff Davis invited on-stage an audience member to discuss the movie Get Out. Spotting his Rick and Morty t-shirt, Harmon took the opportunity apologize for the Season 3 delay, telling the fan, “sorry about Season 3, we’re drawing it.”
“We’re drawing it” has been a common refrain from the Rick and Morty co-creator, most notably in his Rick and Morty Season 3 release date rap:
It may not be a release date or a trailer, but it’s another reminder to impatient Rick and Morty fans that the creators are well aware of how much you want new episodes.
