As far as we know, Rick and Morty Season 3 is still on track for a 2016 premiere date. Despite rumors of a teaser trailer for the new episodes, we’re still no more certain of the Rick and Morty Season 3 release date than before.

And while the Rick and Morty writers aren’t about to spill the beans, Mike McMahan offered some words of encouragement.

So will Rick and Morty Season 3 really be the “best season” yet? Here’s some of what we know:

It sounds like co-creator Justin Roiland doesn’t really want to do an “Interdimensional Cable” episode in Season 3 (good riddance!).

Rick and Morty Season 3 will continue the show’s trend of shocking anti-Americanism, designed to undermine our great country with filthy socialism.

Rick will turn into a pickle and vivisect a mischief of rats:

Like the Biblical Apocalypse, we don’t know the exact time and date, but we know Rick and Morty Season 3 draws steadily nearer. Let’s hope McMahan’s right and we’ll be getting a season worth the wait.
