Rocket League has always been about cars. However, the game wouldn't be as much fun without the music. There's no doubt that its musical legacy is one of the game's strongest points. To celebrate the game's ever-evolving soundtrack, everyone is invited to a new in-game event called Neon Nights. It has exciting Challenges, Golden Moons, a chaotic LTM, and even unlockable items that feature the immortal space princess GRIMES. The event starts January 26 and ends February 8.
For this new event, players can look forward to joining machines with the Gravitator and Space Queen Toppers, Braided Trail, GRIMES Decal, GRIMES Wheels, and GRIMES Player Banner. There's also a remix of some old favorites in the likes of Fireworks (Multichrome) Universal Decal and Uncanny Boost.
Players can also unlock two new Player Anthems from GRIMES' upcoming album, which are “Player of Games” and “Shinigami Eyes.”
The Neon Nights event also sees the aimbots taking over the Rocket Labs Arenas. Join a wild match of Heatseeker Ricochet and go head-to-head in this truly chaotic LTM.
What’s in store for those who join the event? There’s the chance to earn Golden Moons, which can unlock a mix of classic items from the Impact, Nitro, and Overdrive Item Series. Golden Moons works pretty much like the Golden Gifts from Frosty Fest. Players who finish the Challenge up to five times earn Golden Moons.
Esports Decals
In addition to the new event, players can also enjoy the arrival of the new Esports Decals tomorrow. For those who can remember, it was in October last year when it was revealed that Rocket League Esports Decals were being offered at the same time as the start of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2021-22 Season. It was mentioned at that time that Away Kits would be coming in 2022.
The wait is over as players can now equip their favorite team's Away Kit Decals on Octane, Dominus, and Fennec. Similar to the Home Kits, the decals have been designed by the esports organizations themselves.
The Esports Shop is also having new RLCS teams added. That means Complexity and Misfits Gaming now have Home and Away Kits.
Rocket League is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
