Customers shouldn’t have trouble finding the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge when it launches Friday. The major carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular are already accepting and shipping preorders for the 2016 flagships.
T-Mobile has already announced its pricing for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge; however, a recent leak indicates the carrier will offer a buy-one-get-one-free deal starting March 11. Tech blog TmoNews obtained an internal document, which details the logistics of the promotion. The deal will come with two new Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge handsets and possibly a prepaid MasterCard, which would be obtained through a mail-in rebate.
Customers will have to start at least one new line of service for one of the handsets to qualify for the deal. Customers must purchase both devices under T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan and will have to pay the taxes and down payments for the handsets up front.
T-Mobile has not officially announced this BOGOF deal; however, it is plausible, considering the carrier has done many such deals in the past.
Meanwhile, Sprint is gearing up to offer the Samsung Galaxy S7 on two of its discount carriers, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. Sprint announced Monday that the devices will be available at Boost Mobile starting March 11, while Virgin Mobile will begin offering the Galaxy S7 March 18.
Both carriers will sell the Galaxy S7 in Black Onyx for $649.99, plus tax. There is no mention of the carriers offering the Galaxy S7 Edge or other color options.
Sprint is also marketing the service deals each discount carrier offers. When switching from T-Mobile, Verizon or AT&T, users can get unlimited talk, text and data as well as 10GB of high speed data from Boost Mobile for two lines paying $60 per month. For three lines, the price increases to $80 per month, while for four lines will cost you $110 per month.
Virgin Mobile is offering unlimited talk, text and data plus 4GB of of high speed data for $50 per month unlimited music streaming.
