These features may be old to Samsung and Android, but appear to be just to formula to have re-sparked an interest in flagships by the Korean manufacturer.
Meanwhile, in the U.S., several carriers have been shipping Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets to subscribers, over a week prior to the devices’ March 11 release date. News first broke Monday of T-Mobile subscribers receiving their handsets more than a week ahead of schedule. The carrier told Android Authority it is working hard to get handsets to customers as soon as possible, which has led to some handsets shipping early. As of Wednesday, AT&T and Sprint subscribers are also receiving their preordered Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 handsets, according to Android Central.
