Samsung will be aiming to get consumers to purchase the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge as soon as possible, if recent reports are to be believed. The 2016 flagship smartphones will be available for preorder shortly after they are announced on Feb. 21, according to Dutch tech blog Android World .
The blog claims these details are specific to the Galaxy S7 launch in the Netherlands; however, consumers have seen Samsung stage its preorders in this fashion before. When the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ were announced in August 2015 , the smartphones were available for preorder in the U.S. just hours after they were unveiled. This would lead us to believe the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will also be available for preorder on Launch day in the U.S. and other major markets.
Samsung Galaxy S7 preorders will also come with a free Gear VR headset in tow, according to Android World. While these details cannot be confirmed, it is common for Samsung to include some kind of promotion for the initial launch of new devices.
Recent reports indicate the Galaxy S7 will be priced similarly to the Galaxy S6 when it launched last year. The smartphone may sell for $650 and $700, while the Galaxy S7 Edge may sell for between $750 and $800, according to Slash Gear .
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is also starting to see price cuts at vendors like Amazon , which could be a telltale sign that the Galaxy S7 release date is imminent.
