The Samsung Galaxy S7 has essentially been unveiled in recent weeks with several leaks revealing the design and color options for the device. But, just when we thought there was nothing left to learn about the Galaxy S7 before its Feb. 21 annoucement, new details have surfaced confirming several long rumored features for the 2016 flagship.
Teaser videos and images for the Galaxy S7 recently surfaced on an official Samsung Indonesia website. The video, which was uploaded to YouTube last Friday, shows Indonesian Olympian Dellie Threesyadinda training for an archery competition. She is seen wirelessly charging a Samsung handset, tracking her run and using the handset in the rain.
There is no name branding in the video indicating the device is the Galaxy S7; however, we can assume the video refers to the device Samsung will unveil at its Unpacked event in Barcelona Feb. 21.
Noting that the caption for the video says the device in the video is not water resistant, we wonder if the video actually shows the Galaxy S6. Since the Samsung Indonesia page is a teaser page for the Samsung Unpacked event, it does not feature any full images of the upcoming device.
However, the Samsung Galaxy S7 may be water resistance, as per several teaser images accompanying the video. One image in particular shows the shadowed corner of a device behind water bubbles, with the caption “worry-less” discovery. Other teaser images hint at privacy features and better low-light photography among Galaxy S7 features.
