Samsung announced the Gear S3 smartwatch last Wednesday and a new report from SamMobile suggests the wearable may go on sale Nov. 4 . The rumor may back up T-Mobile’s announcement that it will begin offering the LTE-powered Gear S3 Frontier in the fall.
Samsung has not officially announced the Gear S3 price; however, rumors suggest it may sell for €399 in Europe ($449).
The Gear S3 will be available in two models, the Classic, which is more like a standard watch in design, and the Frontier, which is more rugged and includes voice, internet and music streaming support.
Specs for the Gear S3 include a 1.3-inch circular AMOLED display with a 360x360 resolution and Corning's new Gorilla Glass SR+, a dual-core 1GHz Samsung Exynos chip, 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, a 380 mAh battery, IP68 water, wind and dust resistance, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and the Tizen Wearable OS 2.3.2 operating system. The Gear S3 is currently compatible with Android smartphones and will be compatible with iOS devices at some point.
In the U.S., the Gear S3 will be available at Best Buy, Amazon, Macy's and Samsung.com. Carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon will offer the Frontier model.
