Mytona released a new Seekers Notes update this week to celebrate Valentine’s Day and the Chinese Lunar New Year. Check out everything the update entails, plus tips for fixing problems with the update, here.
The Chinese Lunar New Year is just days away, and to celebrate, Mytona has released a brand new update to the popular mobile hidden objects game Seekers Notes. The update comes chock full of new features, creatures and quests, among them a brand new Moon Court location. Check out all the changes below, plus a list of troubleshooting steps you can take if you are having trouble downloading the new update.
Seekers Notes February 2018 Update: Moon Court, Lunar New Year Quests And More
Moon Court Location
Get ready for a brand new mystery seekers, as the February 2018 update brings a new Moon Court location to explore. Upon entering Moon Court, you’ll be greeted by Li Jing, the son of the merchant who owns it. Jing seems to have lost his memory and doesn’t know how he and his market came to be transplanted in your timeline. Your job will be to help him unravel the mysterious pieces of his story by completing related quests. Moon Court is a truly beautiful new location that envelops players in warmth and peace as the vibrantly colored lamps cast an intoxicating light upon a luxurious oriental scene. It is truly one of the most unique new locations added to the game and one I’m looking forward to exploring throughout the event.
Unlocking Moon Court requires finding the key at the Mayor’s office. After your first visit, you’ll need to accumulate scarlet lanterns, won as rewards when playing in other locations. These lanterns are used as the entrance fee to Moon Court.
Magic Scroll Event
To celebrate the Lunar New Year and the latest Moon Court location, Seeker’s Notes has added a group of Magic Scroll events that will run through March 14. These events require players to complete different in-game quests in order to win prizes. The quest types are as follows:
Moon Court Rank Quests - In this quest, you’ll work on increasing your rank from Amateur to Virtuoso, winning a rank based prize at each new level you reach.
Lunar Event Quests - There are six stages of event quests to complete during the Lunar New Year event. These are found on the left-hand side of the main game screen at the top of the quest list.
Banishing Creature Quests - The Moon Court location brings several new creatures to banish, including the Warrior Monkey, Sly Monkey and Nian. By banishing different monsters along the way, you can win up to five rewards, the final being a Gold Pekingese talisman, which increases your chances of receiving banishment weapons by exploring locations by 100 percent for one full day. This talisman would come in handy for the final event.
Top 1000 Banishers - Players who gain at least 100 banishing items during the course of the Lunar events will be eligible to enter the top 1,000 competition, which awards prizes to the top 1,000 banishers in the game.
Other Update Features
New Desk Guardian - the lovely Lucky is now available for upgrade.
Several Unique New Rewards Added - Beautiful avatars, the New Year's Chest, and the Gold Pekingese talisman await you in this new event.
Valentine's Day romantic Festive Fun event - players earn stars to win special rewards in this Valentines themed event. The event will run through February 26.

Seekers Notes Update Problems: Tips For Troubleshooting Issues
A number of players have reported problems with the new update. Here are the steps from Mytona’s Official Facebook page to help troubleshoot problems with the update:
Clear your App Store cache and try again
Launch the App Store
Hit the Updates tab at the bottom
From the top of the screen, pull down with your finger, then let go. The store should refresh itself
Look for the “Seeker’s Notes Update”
Update the app and reopen
If these steps don’t work, here are some additional steps we recommend:
Shut your phone down entirely - Once you’ve powered your phone all the way down, turn it back on and then retry downloading the update
Delete the app and reinstall - I would NOT do this if your account is not linked to Facebook or Game Center, as you will lose all your data, but if your account is linked, sometimes reinstalling an app is the best way to resolve update problems.
Wait a few hours and try again - Updates sometimes roll out to different regions at different times. If you can’t find the update or it isn’t working properly, after a few hours the new update a patch for the issue will appear in the app store. The Windows Phone version of the update has not gone live as of the time of this writing.
