The wait is finally over as The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross is now available worldwide for both Android and iOS devices. This game had originally been released exclusively in Japan and reached the top of both the App Store and Google Play in 2019. Through the game, developer Netmarble hopes for players to experience and relive the journey of the series' main characters.
In a statement, Netmarble US President Simon Sim said that being a fan of both the video games and anime, they found out that The Seven Deadly Sins had a lot to offer in terms of stories and gameplay. He added that for this game, they "developed new technology to replicate the original work in a manner that is faithful to fans of the anime." Sim went on to say that they are excited to see what everyone thinks of the game and is thrilled to be able "to finally deliver a game that is authentic and enjoyable to players and The Seven Deadly Sins fans alike, especially following the game reaching #1 on the Japanese App Store and Google Play stores."
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross follows the adventures of the characters from the anime of the same name. The game not only offers excellent 3D graphics, but also comes packed with more than 100 cutscenes. Making the experience even more authentic is that the characters in the game are voiced by the same Japanese voice actors from the anime.
In the game, players get to use from a wide range of characters from the series to create their own team and fight using a card-based combat system.
Before the official launch, Netmarble said that more than two million players had pre-registered for the game. As a reward, those who pre-registered are going to receive these at launch:
- 1x Meliodas in-game character
- 1x in-game costume and weapon for Meliodas
- 30 Diamonds
- 100,000 Gold
- Exclusive box that offers in-game items
