Publisher and developer Sloclap announced that the Sifu Summer 2022 Update is coming this August 31, which comes with new features and content like gameplay modifiers, outfits, and more. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store, with the last Spring Update released in May. Sloclap revealed a new trailer that showcases some of the upcoming features for this upcoming patch, and you can check it out for yourself below.
The new trailer for Sifu highlights three main interests for the Summer 2022 Update, including new outfits, various gameplay modifiers, and a new scoring system. All of them are great additions to the game for those who want to experience Sifu from a fresh new perspective, and it also adds another layer of replayability to the kung-fu action title. Check out a breakdown of the new content coming to the Summer Update for Sifu below:
Gameplay modifiers – A superb addition for those looking to add another layer of difficulty to their runs, or for those who want to make the game so much easier for themselves. Various gameplay modifiers such as stronger enemies, one health point, no pendant, and no guard will make your playthrough a living hell, while bullet time, gold weapons, low gravity, and weaker enemies will make your runs funnier and more interesting. Of course, there’s also what the trailer calls the Superman run which allows you to mow through enemies with invincibility, infinite structure, and all skills and shrine bonuses unlocked.
New scoring system – The updated scoring system now reflects every punch, kick, sweep, and finisher performed flawlessly, allowing for overall better scores for the most skilled players to boast about.
New outfits – Two new cosmetics are available in the Summer Update 2022, although only one of them can be accessed by all players. The first one, the Enforcer armor, is only available to owners of the Deluxe Edition of Sifu. The second one, the Master Hand, is available to all players and comes in a trench coat that just screams Neo from The Matrix Reloaded and a white hat. Players can take on a new challenge of not getting hit with this new outfit, as a single hit will remove the hat.
