A cool crossover is coming to SMITE that’ll put a smile on fans of MMORPGs. That’s because both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are arriving to the game on November 15 as part of a major update.
One of the unique features that players can expect from this crossover are the Skill Capes from RuneScape which can be equipped on event character skins. There’s also the new RuneScape-style chat option that seems pulled straight from the Grand Exchange.
Unlocking Capes
In this upcoming crossover, there will be at least 69 capes. With this, players can choose to base their looks on capes or highlight their overdedication using them. Capes can be unlocked by questing and in the true spirit of RuneScape, need an astronomical amount of grinding.
For example, if you want to show other players how potions play an important role in your playstyle, get the Master Herblore Cape. This one can be unlocked after drinking 3,000 potions. Then, there is the Master Agility Cape which can be obtained by traveling 15 million feet. Another is the Master Slayer Cape that you can unlock after a wobbling 3,600 PK perpetrated in the wilderness of the game’s Battleground of the Gods.
Equipping Capes
All capes in this crossover can be equipped on any of five event skins and showcase characters in the art style of Old School Gielinor. Fans of RuneScape should be happy to know that they can become the NPC Wise Old Man as Merlin, a regular Gnome Child with a Vamana skin, or even the King Black Dragon. That’s right! Even the King Black Dragon can wear any of the capes.
