Sniper Elite 4 is launching on November 17 for the Nintendo Switch and ahead of the game's launch, it received a new gameplay trailer that shows off how it will look and play on the handheld console. Originally, Sniper Elite 4 was released in 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is a direct sequel to the critically acclaimed that Sniper Elite 3, which already has a Switch port.
The gameplay trailer for Sniper Elite 4 shows off the game's stealth, sniping, and satisfying x-ray vision mechanics. The trailer also confirms that Sniper Elite 4 will feature 4-player co-op survival modes, 8-player competitive modes, and Nintendo Switch-exclusive features such as gyro-controlled motion aim, HD rumble, and Pro Controller support. The game also features local wireless play.
To give you a short brief on the game, Sniper Elite 4 is set during the World War Two, in which you play as Karl Fairburne, an American OSS Agent and an elite sniper. The third-person tactical shooter takes you on a journey where Fairburne has to use his skills to take down high-value targets and liberate Italy from the clutches of fascism.
From a technical standpoint, Sniper Elite 4 has been improved quite a lot over its predecessor, Sniper Elite 3. The game now features expansive environments, improved weapon ballistics, smart enemy AI, and much more. I really enjoyed Sniper Elite 4 back when it was released on PC, but I'm also equally glad to learn that the game is coming for Switch players as well.
One of the most satisfying aspects of all Sniper Elite games is the slow-motion bullet travel and x-ray vision kills that showcase the rupture of internal organs. If one attunes to the tactical aspects of Sniper Elite 4 like ammo types and muzzles, it is possible to take down up to four enemies with a single sniper shot.
