Soulstone Survivors, the action roguelite developed by Game Smithing Limited, released a pretty huge update recently. In this patch, there’s a new event where you can unlock new secret achievements by defeating Bumble, the Abominable.
Event Details
Bumble is a new secret boss added to Soulstone Survivors Winterfall Update. You can find his lair in the Frozen Wastelands.
Before you face Bumble, you need to activate five colored Winter Sigils dropped from each wave of bosses in the area. There is a specific order of activation to open the Christmas Portal that will lead you to Bumble. The sigils must be activated in the same order as the Soulstones that the bosses drop, meaning you start with the Red Sigil, followed by Blue, Yellow, Green, and Purple.
When you’re in the Frozen Wastelands, begin by heading to the southeast corner of the map where you’ll find the Red Sigil. After 400 kills, the boss will spawn and you must defeat it inside the sigil to activate it. Then, you do the same thing for the rest.
Here are the locations of the other Sigils on the map:
- Blue Sigil: Center-left
- Yellow Sigil: Top-right
- Green Sigil: Bottom-center
- Purple Sigil: Top-center
If you get lost, just remember that the order of activation follows a star-like pattern. Once every Sigil is activated, a portal appears where Bumble will be waiting for you on the other side.
Defeating Bumble the first time will give you one of the three new achievements in this patch. The other two can be unlocked by defeating Bumble at 25 Curse Intensity and 34 Curse Intensity.
In Soulstone Survivors, curses make opponents much harder to defeat but also promise better rewards. Curse Intensity is just a measure of how many curses you have activated; the higher the number, the more difficult the monsters will be.
Anyway, Bumble’s Lair is easy to find from now until January 5. After the event ends, you can still face Bumble, albeit finding its Lair will be much harder.
Aside from the limited-time event, the Winterfall Update brought a plethora of skill balancing changes as well. You can find some of them below:
- Smoke Bomb is now an Assassin class skill, and Backstab is now a weapon skill
- Changed how skills that deal extra damage on critical strike work to be an actual multiplier on top of the damage, instead of additional Critical Damage Modifier, increasing their effectiveness considerably
- Increased the speed-up rate of Arcane Conjuration and Call Lightning skills so they don't accumulate as much
- Paralysis extra direct damage per stack increased from 0.5% to 1%
- Arcane Blade cooldown reduced from 10 to 8.5 seconds
- Arcane Rift cooldown reduced from 12 to 10 seconds
- Arcane Disk damage increased from 450 to 480
- Arcane Disk cooldown reduced from 5.5 to 5.2 seconds
