Surface Pro 4 deals keep happening at Microsoft, and this latest promotion slashes prices on mid and low-tier i5 and m3 tablets. Want to save up to $200 on a formidable mobile PC? Here’s the latest offer courtesy of the Microsoft Store.
If you’re looking to stay well below the $1,000 barrier, the m3 might be more your speed. It’s not the fastest chip in the world, but its base configuration, with 128 GB storage and 4 GB of RAM, should be more than enough for casual web surfing. It’s now just $699.
For those willing to pay a bit more, the battery-efficient i5 variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage has been cut to $1,049 from its standard price of $1,199. It’s essentially more than doubling your power output, so you’ll be able to handle a bit of light gaming, should you feel the need. Both discounts are expected to end Feb. 25.
These two deals are the most recent in a string of price drops coming from Microsoft over the past few weeks. Exactly one week ago, we mentioned a $200 i5 sale that was days away from expiration. Prior to that, an m3 tablet without its pen was released for $100 less than its standard configuration.
Such constant sales have given rise to speculation that a Surface Pro 5 announcement might be imminent. An attempt to sell through remaining stock perhaps? Especially since mid-tier models of the Surface Book are also cheaper and high-end models have been sold out for weeks, a new lineup debut doesn’t sound too unthinkable.
