This Sunday, Terraria is celebrating a really big milestone, its 10th birthday, and it looks like developer Re-Logic has some interesting plans.
The first is from May 13 to May 17, Terraria is offered at a 50% discount on Steam, and this same offer extends to the official soundtrack. Players can even buy it for their friends since even the 4-Pack is available at 50% off.
Terraria was first released on May 16, 2011, on PC. Since then, it has been ported to other platforms and as of the end of 2020, 35 million copies have been sold. The game mainly focuses on exploration, building, crafting, mining, survival, and combat. It’s playable in single-player as well as multiplayer.
So what other activities are planned? The whole Re-Logic team is having an AMA on May 17 on Reddit, starting at 1:00 PM ET. This is indeed a good chance to know more about the game for long-time fans and new players. It’s not all Reddit since the team also revealed their presence on Discord to chat with the community.
Contests Galore
As part of the celebration, several contests are being launched. There’s “A Journey of Ten Years Contest” where players get the chance to show their creativity. Many categories will be available to players on PC, console, Stadia, and mobile platforms. The contest starts on the anniversary date, May 16. More details about the contest will be revealed once it goes live.
On the same day as well, players can enjoy the “A Very Terrarian Birthday Party Contest.” This one is all about players showing their in-game building skills.

Special Art Piece
Re-Logic also announced that it’s working with a community artist to come out with a work of art to celebrate this momentous event. This is also going to be revealed during the anniversary day.
