Politics enthusiasts and mobile game lovers now have an app that meets at the intersection of gaming and the 2016 presidential race. Called “Trump’s Wall,” the parody app pokes fun at the Republican presidential candidate’s vision of building a wall between Mexico and the United States.
In fact, the game has one simple objective: to build a “huuuge” wall. And lest you assume the game has players building a wall between two countries, think again! Instead of creating a barrier between Mexico and the United States, the wall in the game is built in front of a building reminiscent of the White House.
The free app, which is quickly climbing the list of most downloaded apps in the U.S. iTunes App Store, claims that the “game and all characters in it are entirely fictional.” But for those who have been paying attention to the presidential campaign, there are some similarities with Trump’s candidacy. For example, if the wall falls down then the app says “You’re fired!” The game also features Trump lines including “It’s lyin’ Ted!” and “Let me tell you, I’m a real smart guy.”
The app has been around for the past month and users can download it for free. For $1.99, players can get rid of the ad at the top of the screen.
In other Trump-related app news, emoji lovers can download Trumpoji: an app that contains 19 emojis of Trump. One emoji shows the Republican wearing black shades while another depicts him red faced in anger. “It’s a terrific app that works on all iPhones big and large,” said app creator Kyle Waring to The Boston Globe. “It’s gonna be yuge, mark my words.”
