A free DLC for Warhammer Vermintide 2 is launching June 13 on PC. Titled Karak Azgaraz, it has the Ubersreik Five help a struggling dwarf war party as they try to sabotage a Skaven army and shift the balance in their favor for a successful counterattack. This new DLC is going to feature three maps inspired by the ones of the same name from the previous game. By the way, the console version is arriving in summer 2023.
In a statement, Producer Sacha Karsenty shared that they've worked hard to bring back three fan-favorite levels from the first game in a remastered fashion.
New Event
Everyone is invited to join the new Warhammer Skulls event. The Skulls for the Skull Throne started May 25 and will run until June 4. Details include:
- Taal's Horn Keep gets a thematic dressing of skulls, skulls and more skulls. Just don't ask where Lohner gets them from.
- The maps are seemingly littered with Daemon Skulls.
- Pick these up and you're in for a surprise or two like being blessed with a movement or combat effectiveness buff.
- You could also receive a debuff which can sap your life when your never-ending lust to dominate and destroy takes too long a pause.
- Complete in-game challenges and unlock an event exclusive portrait frame usable all-year round.
- Players can also enjoy double XP throughout the length of the event.
- Unleash your inner Khornite and rally together to complete the Kill Counter in time to unlock five exclusive weapon illusions.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a four-player co-op action game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world. It's a sequel to the critically acclaimed Vermintide and is the latest installment in a series best known for its intense and bloody first-person melee combat. In the game, five heroes have returned to face an even greater threat than before which are the combined forces of a ruinous Chaos army and swarming Skaven horde.
