In American Horror Story Season 6 episode 9, which airs at 10 p.m. EST Wednesday, Aubrey and Lee continue to fight for their lives after escaping the Polks. The women were kidnapped by the hillbilly family that lived near the Big Shaker Mansion in episode 8.
Viewers learned earlier in the season the Polk family had a blood oath with the Butcher to provide victims for sacrifice in exchange for being able to safely live on the haunted land. The family’s matriarch, Mama Polk, was particularly angry after her grandsons were taken by the police and child protective services and her son killed in the real-life story of Roanoke. The family captured Aubrey, Lee and Monet and forced Aubrey and Monet to eat Lee’s flesh as torture.
Episode 8 concludes with Aubrey killing Mama Polk, allowing her and Lee to escape their capture. Currently, Monet’s whereabouts are unknown, but she is believed to be alive. However viewers already know only one person will survive the second round of My Roanoke Nightmare .
The latest victims of the horror include Matt, who was killed by his estranged wife Shelby, Shelby herself, who Dominic claims committed suicide under the stress of having killed her husband, and Dominic, who was killed by the Piggy Man. Viewers also learned that the Piggy Man is Dylan, the actor who played Ambrose White, the son of the Butcher (Tomasin White), in the Roanoke documentary.
In episode 9, viewers will likely learn more about the hiker who has shown up amid the horrors. He appears to know all about the Blood Moon, despite not being involved in the documentary production. There may also be more information about Taissa Farmiga’s character, who fans believe could be playing the real witch Scáthach or the ghost, Priscilla.
What will be learn about the new Roanoke characters? We will find out during “Chapter 9,” which is best viewed on television or live online through FX Now.
