The most-watched 30-minute HBO series since 2009, Ballers, is back at 10 p.m. (scroll down for streaming options). More importantly, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson returns, and after his killer performance with Kevin Hart in Central Intelligence, fans are eager to see what kind of jokes the big guy has ready for the Ballers Season 2 premiere. Since Ballers Season 1 had such a happy ending, what's The Rock's next obstacle?

The Rock’s character, Spencer Strasmore, is a former NFL player struggling to cope with the pain of his long football career. He’s started a new career as a financial manager and by the end of the first season he’s off to a good start – that is, if he can keep his pill-popping habits under control.

Mr. Anderson promoted Spencer to be the director of the sports-management division, but decided it was time to leave Joe (Spencer’s old boss and friend) in the dust. Even though Joe made quite an exit by trashing Anderson’s office, a persuasive speech from Spencer convinced the hard-nosed business owner to hire him back.

The Season 1 finale ended on a high note with every problem seeming to solve itself. Vernon was even picked by the Dallas Cowboys for a hefty 18 million, but it’s only a matter of time before The Rock faces another roadblock.

Convinced to appear on a talk show, Spencer ends up facing off with an old adversary, which puts his company and reputation in jeopardy. A reformed Ricky gets bad news in advance of his 30th birthday party. Charles relishes his new status as a fan favorite, but may face changes on the field.
