Makeup tutorials are a dime a dozen on YouTube, but it's not every day you get to watch one narrated by Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum of Final Fantasy XV.
YouTuber and Final Fantasy fan Kelly Eden put together a cosplay for Princess Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, sans makeup, and invited the voice of Noctis himself, Ray Chase, to record a voiceover for the video. Kelly is dressed up as Luna for the entirety of the video, Chase remains in character the whole time, and the result is a hilarious and charming video.. Spoiler alert: Noctis has no idea what any of it actually does.
"We have to spend a lot of time on the lips, because there are two of them," Noctis says. "I don't know why I agreed to do this. I just want to play some King's Knight , hang out, try some new recipes. I hear Ignis has come up with a new one!" Luna applies different kinds of eyeshadow in her eye crease, eyelid, and goes to blend it all, which is a concept obviously lost on our prince.
"You also need to color in your eyes because you didn't do it enough. There's more eyes to color," a tired Noctis observes as Luna applies eye makeup. It's a regular treasure trove of one-liners that fans can picture Noctis himself actually saying in-game.
YouTube Stephanie Michelle also got in on the fun with a special makeup video collaboration with Prompto's voice actor, Robbie Daymond. Stephanie dressed as the adorable, bubbly Cindy from Final Fantasy XV , with Prompto providing running commentary the entire time.
"It's darker! That is something that I know about makeup. I'm Cindy, y'all!"
Robbie Daymond's Southern drawl that he puts on to imitate Cindy is something you'll probably bust out laughing at. Or maybe one of his observations about fake eyelashes:
"Apparently, sometimes girls have eyelashes that aren't really theirs. When you're a girl, and you're born without eyelashes, you can glue 'em on, and everything's okay!" exclaims Prompto incredulously. These precious boys don't know a thing about applying falsies or eyeliner, and it's adorable. The only thing we need now are Ignis and Gladiolus videos, because these may be some of the funniest and silliest Final Fantasy fan videos of all time.
