Gal Gadot brings honor to Warner Bros’ DC film franchise with the first full-length Wonder Woman movie trailer.
Diana Prince explains why she used to want to save the world as we see her first encounter with men on the island of Themyscira. The soldiers unload their bullets at the Amazonian women as Diana watches. The Amazons take Steve Trevor back to their home to explain what’s going on with the world. He tells them he’s on a mission to stop the “war to end all wars.”
Diana decides, albeit naively, she won’t stand by as innocent lives are lost. She grabs her shield and sword, then you hear a voice telling her to be careful. The rest of the trailer shows Wonder Woman saving Trevor time and time again. Check out the full Wonder Woman trailer in the video above.
One great thing about the Wonder Woman trailer is it looks nothing like the disaster that was Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice . Gadot explained the difference between her solo movie and Batman vs. Superman during an interview with We Got This Covered. According to Gadot, Wonder Woman isn’t as dark and brooding the previous DC films. Wonder Woman is fighting to save the world, even if the world doesn’t want to be saved.
"Wonder Woman is different,” Gadot told We Got This Covered. “With this character, what I love about her so much is that her agenda is love. It’s not about fighting, it’s not about who is stronger than whom; it’s not about women versus men. It’s about love and acceptance of others. She stands for love, justice and compassion.”
