Details on the collector’s edition of WWE 2K17 have been released by 2K Games, including three more names for the game’s growing roster, and this year’s limited edition bundle has been created specifically for all the diehard NXT fans in the WWE 2K community.
According to a press release, WWE 2K17 NXT Edition will replace the standard limited/collector’s edition package we see for most new AAA games, bundling a handful of in-game and real-world goodies with 2K’s annual WWE game. The Goldberg Pack shouldn’t be news to anyone at this point, having been announced last month and promoted on just about every WWE broadcast since, but there is some great stuff included with the WWE 2K17 collector’s edition.
Fans of longtime NXT champion Finn Bálor can look forward to getting an eight-inch figure of “The Demon”, along with an exclusive Topps NXT TakeOver: London Mat Relics card and a Canvas 2 Canvas lithograph autographed by “King Of Strong Style” Shinsuke Nakamura. As for in-game goodies, players can look forward to receiving 50 percent more experience during their NXT run in MyCareer mode and three playable superstars from the NXT roster.
The latest additions to the WWE 2K17 roster won’t come as much of a shock to those who watch NXT with any consistency. Nakamura will undoubtedly be the most celebrated addition, given his global popularity, but he’ll be joined by a few other big names from WWE’s developmental show. Nia Jax and Apollo Crews will also be playable if you purchase WWE 2K17 NXT Edition, which will ship with a suggested retail price of $99.99 and be limited to just 50,000 copies worldwide. Given the limited nature of the package, we’d have to assume Crews, Jax and Nakamura will also be available for purchase at/after launch; however, there’s been no word from 2K on the matter.
Here’s everything 2K says we can expect from WWE 2K17 NXT Edition:
Exclusive premium packaging;
NXT Enhancement Pack:
Playable NXT Superstars: Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax and Apollo Crews;
