Reports are coming in that Anthem, the latest title from BioWare, is causing serious problems on PS4 consoles. This includes errors that cause gaming systems to completely crash.
While most were quick to dismiss the problem as simple heating issues, more and more players began to report hard crashing, and in some extreme cases, even total bricking. Discussions between users who experienced the issue have been on-going in the game’s official bugs and errors megathread on Reddit.
Although the developers at BioWare and Electronic Arts are conducting an investigation into the matter, some users on Reddit started several threads about Anthem causing consoles to crash and malfunction. Hopefully, BioWare will be able to contain and address the issue before the problem affects more of the game’s dedicated community. After some mixed reviews from fans, BioWare has stood its ground on Anthem with the help of the players who actually enjoy the game.
Since the game’s launch less than two weeks ago, Anthem has been met with some unsettling reviews. Despite the hype and interest BioWare and EA were able to generate for the title prior to launch, the release was less than spectacular. Players have expressed some disappointment and frustration over Anthem’s many bugs, imbalances, and its overall unpolished experience.
We’ve also heard some noise that Sony might be giving refunds to the unfortunate Anthem players whose consoles were bricked, which is good news for any unhappy gamer. Either way, Electronic Arts might have to answer these concerns or risking losing the trust of their community. If you own Anthem on PS4, have you been experiencing the same issues? What do you think EA should do to combat this crisis and make the necessary reparations to its fanbase? Let us know in the comments section below.
