Electronic Arts has confirmed that Apex Legends Season 1, dubbed "Wild Frontier," will be available tomorrow, March 19. The Battle Pass is officially online starting at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
In order to access the new season's content, players need to purchase the Battle Pass. There are two options to choose from. The first is the standard Battle Pass, which can cost players 950 Apex Coins, or around $10. There is also the Battle Pass Bundle, which can be purchased for 2,800 Apex Coins. While this is clearly a more expensive option, buying it gives players 25 levels and the rewards that go with each level. Players who buy either unlock three Wild Frontier legend skins: the Lifeline Revolutionary skin, Mirage Outlaw skin, and Wraith Survivor skin.
Players still have the option to play the new season's content without making any purchases. Once the new season goes live, all players get one Wild Frontier Legend skin, five Apex Packs, and 18 Wild Frontier stat trackers, all for free.
In total, Wild Frontier includes more than 100 unlockable items. Players unlock these items after purchasing a Battle Pass by leveling up. The more levels gained, the more rewards the player earns. The Season 1 end date hasn't been confirmed yet, but expect Wild Frontier to take multiple weeks to finish.
Should players decide later on to buy the Battle Pass, they will receive all the rewards up to their current level. This means that a player already level 30 who buys the Battle Pass receives all of the rewards up to level 30 and the three Battle Pass skins mentioned above. If the players buys the Bundle, they immediately go to level 55 and receive all the rewards up to that level, along with the three Battle Pass skins.
Players can keep the rewards they received even after the season is over. The rewards can only be earned while the season is ongoing, so get them now or miss out.
Developed by Respawn Entertain and published by EA, Apex Legends was released February 2019. Considered by many as a strong contender to Fortnite Battle Royale, the game managed to rack up 25 million downloads within the first week of release along with two million concurrent players at its peak. In just a month after its release, Apex Legends reported that it has 50 million players.
