The next season of the free-to-play battle royale game, Apex Legends, is just around the corner. Season 10: Emergence will launch on all platforms on August 3. Just like every other season, this season will also bring a brand-new legend and new content. The official launch trailer of Emergence was revealed yesterday during the EA Play Live 2021.
New Content
The newest legend in the game is Seer, a stylish artist who uses small drones to do his work. He can track his enemies like Bloodhound. However, unlike Bloodhound, his tracking ability will be for a small area but more precise, making him useful for end-game circles.
Emergence will not bring a new Battle Royale map, though the existing World’s Edge map is getting a makeover. One of the changes is the removal of the famous Train Yard. More info about the changes will be revealed soon.
The Apex Legends go-to engineer, Rampart, has been very busy. Her latest creation is the Rampage LMG. The new weapon will use thermite grenades as its ammo. The upcoming gameplay trailer, set on July 26, will reveal more information about the gun.
Arenas Ranked
The new season will also bring the previously promised Ranked Arenas mode. Arenas mode was introduced to Apex Legends via Season 9. After one whole season, the developers are now sure that they can create a Ranked mode for it. The most important issue is making it balanced and fair.
Arenas ranked system will be different from that of Battle Royale. When the season launches, you must play 10 placement matches which will set your rank and initial MMR. You will not get any extra points for getting kills. You will only be rewarded if you win these matches.
Similar to Ranked Battle Royale, Ranked Arenas mode will feature leave penalties and loss forgiveness. If you quit the match early, then you won’t be able to queue for a time. Also, if your teammate leaves the match early, you will get loss forgiveness, meaning, you won’t lose any AP.
