Apex Legends Season 5 Fortune's Favor is just around the corner. The new season will go live on May 12 for everyone. This season is really special as it directly ties into Season 4, which gave us our cold-hearted robot-killer Revenant. Our latest Hero, Loba, was made an orphan by the Revenant a few years back, and since then she has been looking for revenge. Respawn recently released the launch trailer for the new season, which you can watch below.
Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t show any actual gameplay. However, after watching the trailer we can safely guess Loba's abilities. She is a thief so we do know she will be sneaky and can steal items. The trailer showed that she was able to steal an R301 Carbine from a distance. This ability would come really handy when you drop from the Drop Ship into an area filled with enemies, as getting a weapon early can often decide whether you will win that encounter. You can still punch enemies, however you will be at a massive disadvantage. You don’t bring a fist to a gunfight.
The trailer also showed off Loba's teleportation ability. When in trouble, she used a device that teleported her to safety. This feels highly similar to Wraith's ability. Guess we will see how it actually works in a few days when the gameplay trailer is released. We still have no word about her passive ability.
Season 5 will not just bring the new Legend. Fortune’s Favor also includes a brand new Battle Pass along with Ranked Series 4. Our road to Apex Predator will begin one week after launch. The most interesting thing is the new Quests. Not much is known about them, but we do know that they will introduce some bonus objectives that you can complete while you are in the match. This all sounds very similar to Contracts in Warzone. More information about Quests will be revealed soon.
