It’s an exciting time to be alive: AMC has released an app for tvOS, meaning you can finally stream shows such as Better Call Saul, Walking Dead , Breaking Bad and more through your Apple TV. To download the new AMC app, navigate to the tvOS App Store on your Apple TV and search for “AMC.”
You will have to log in with your cable or satellite subscription account details, similar to how other tvOS apps work (or even the AMC app for iOS). Reddit users are reporting that some cable logins are not working correctly, specifically Comcast. If this is happening to you, you will have to wait for AMC to update the app to work correctly. Feel free to tweet at them in the meantime.
AppleInsider previously reported on a screenshot a reader sent in as a tip, showing a customer representative confirming the release of an AMC app for tvOS “shortly.” AMC already has mobile versions of their app available for both iOS and Android, as well as the ability to watch shows via a web browser.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to check or look at the AMC app for the Apple TV online, as Apple is still rolling out preview pages for tvOS apps. However, you can use third-party apps catalogs such as Afterpad or Twivelstats to catch a peek of what the app looks like in your web browser.
AMC does allow some show premieres to be viewed without a login on the tvOS app.
