ARK: Survival Evolved patch version 265.284 brings some pretty interesting bug fixes and updates to the Ragnarok map. While we don’t normally report on interstitial updates, this new one is substantial enough to make note of. Check out the full changelog below courtesy of Studio Wildcard.

This update arrives as Studio Wildcard continues to push toward ARK: Survival Evolved ’s retail release date of Aug. 29. As seen in these fixes, the development team is working out significant kinks that could impact mainstream players at launch. Early access customers may be OK with falling through geometry every once in awhile, but the masses may not be as kind. With regard to Ragnarok, the officially modded map looks to be a pretty polished addition to the game for its console launch on day one.
Amidst all this ARK launch talk, Wildcard Programmer and Designer Jeremy Steglitz made waves with his recent tweet regarding the game’s absent cross-platform play features between PS4 and Microsoft platforms like Xbox One and PC. “We have it working internally,” he said, “but currently Sony won’t allow it.” The platform holder took a similar anti-consumer stances on cross-platform play for mega-hits like Rocket League and Minecraft as well.
ARK: Survival Evolved is in early access on PC, Xbox One, PS4, OS X and Linux. It releases on those platforms Aug. 29.
