Arrow Season 5 has recruited yet another new cast member in Chad L. Coleman (The Walking Dead, The Wire). He’ll play a big bad named Tobias Church and we’ll meet him the the Season 5 premiere episode. IGN’s exclusive report describes his character as "an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command."
We’re still waiting on the identity of another Season 5 villain Stephen Amell describes as “a throwback” to Season 1 “before we introduced so many fantastical elements to the Arrowverse.” It’s also important to note Amell is adamant Arrow won’t have superpowered villains in the upcoming season. Tobias Church is the first villain revealed for Season 5 following news that three new vigilantes are slated to join Team Arrow: a reckless ex-Marine named Wild Dog , Young Justice’ s Green Archeress Artemis and a new District Attorney who goes simply by Vigilante . Colton Haynes will also make his return as Green Arrow’s sidekick, The Arsenal .
Arrow returns to The CW on Wednesday, October 5 at 8 p.m.
