Talia Al Ghul will appear in present day in next week’s episode of Arrow, but her relationship with Oliver may not be the same as we’ve seen in the flashbacks. We know nothing about Talia’s life or connection to the Al Ghul's, but Doig tells iDigitalTimes, “Neither does Oliver. Talia never mentions her last name.”
So what happens once Oliver finds out who she really is and Talia is faced with confronting the man who killed her father, Ra’s Al Ghul, and disbanded the League of Assassins?
“I see Talia as somebody who, regardless of whatever her relationship with her family is, they are still her family. I don’t think she’d take kindly to finding out that somebody’s harmed them,” Doig explains.
“But obviously in the flashbacks it’s relatively hunky-dory and Ra’s is still alive and Nyssa's relationship with Talia is unclear at this particular moment. In the flashbacks it’s a non-issue, but in present day, I think it would be an issue. I think she would be very disappointed in Oliver, to put it mildly.”

We can’t assume Talia knows about all that’s happened with the League, her sister, and her father, but considering Doig’s statements, it’s safe to say she’s the kind of person that would want to keep tabs on her family, even if they don’t have the best relationship. Oliver and Talia's first face-to-face meeting, as teased in the episode promo, should be an interesting one especially if there are some unresolved feelings. Hopefully, we'll find out why Talia chose to withold her true identity all those years ago and what she's been up to in the meantime.
