Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Fate of Atlantis DLC continues with the second episode, which take place immediately after the events in Fields of Elysium. In Torment of Hades, players experience a stark contrast to the beautiful visual ambrosia of Elysium with the fiery pits of the Underworld, where players meet with the God of Death himself, Hades.
The Fate of Atlantis DLC Story Arc brought so much more depth to the game, with a clearer focus on Greek Mythology than Legacy of the First Blade, which centered on Assassin lore. With Fate of Atlantis' first episode, Fields of Elysium, players were taken to all-new locations, granted new, god-like abilities, and were challenged with the legendary and mythical beasts of Ancient Greece.
In Tormet of Hades, it's more or less the same, but at the same time completely different. While Fields of Elysium had us in awe at the beauty, wonder, and magic of Greek myths and legends, Torment of Hades takes a much darker and more serious tone. Through a series of events, players will become indebted to Hades, and will be forced to obey the Death God's commands while helping the lost souls trapped in the Underworld. Torment of Hades pits players against extremely challenging opponents including the familiar Colossi, but also with new enemies like the unleashed evil spirits and the ghosts of Greek heroes.
Players will also be able to unlock and equip a new five-piece legendary set - the Armor of the Fallen - which grants them the ability to tread places that are forbidden to the living and open only to the dead. Similar to Elysium, players will be able to imbue their abilities with the strength of Gods, allowing for new gameplay and exciting, immensely powerful moves.
Torment of Hades will be officially released today, June 4, and will be instantly available to Annual Pass owners or players who have purchased the Fate of Atlantis DLC separately.
