Assassin’s Creed Origins has a simple skill tree system that allow players to customize to their desired playstyle. However, players should focus on particular abilities to get through the early part of the game. Be sure Bayek gains these skills quickly and level up as fast as possible, or he will get devoured by the desert. Here’s what players need to get started.
WARRIOR
The Warrior skills will help players out the most during combat. Bayek will encounter fierce animals and many brute soldiers in Egypt, but there are ways to get around them. Starting off, players don’t need as many Warrior Skills as they think. Focus on these:
Overpower (cost- one ability point): Players can use this perk when Bayek’s adrenaline bar is full. It allows him to charge at his enemy and knock them down for quicker kills.
Regeneration (cost- one ability point): THIS IS A MUST. Regenerate health during combat.
Charge Heavy Attack (cost- one ability point): This is also a must have. This will help take down enemies with high defense.
Air Attack (cost- one ability point): For the times Bayek need to suprise attack an enemy in the air.
Parry (cost- one ability point): PLAYERS WILL NEED THE PARRY SKILL! The enemies in the game are smart and players must deflect their hits.
HUNTER
The Hunter skills are my personal favorite. Assassin’s Creed Origins rewards players for stealth gameplay, so the bow and arrow is the best weapon in Bayek’s arsenal. Nothing like picking off a bunch of enemies one by one before entering the enemy camp. Players will need the following early on in the game:
Eagle tagging (cost- one ability point): Senu is an amazing tool. The eagle will help players plan their attacks. they’ll see where the enemies are and how many to take down to get to their destination.
Headshot XP (cost- one ability point): Headshots are not only the most efficient way to take down enemies, it’ll give players an XP boost as well.
Arrow Retriever (cost- one ability point): Arrows are limited and players will likely miss a few times before getting the kill shot. Arrow Retriever refills arrows and collects the ones that get caught in the shield.
Bow Bearer (cost- one ability point): Like I said, arrows are limited. This perk allows players to equip two bows. A long-range bow and light bow options are a must.
Assassination XP (cost- one ability point): Receive an XP perk for taking out enemies before detection.
SEER
The Seer perks are passive tools that’ll help during combat. These Skills aren't necessary early on in the game, so it’s the one category I recommend putting the least ability points into. However, players will need the following:
Call Mount (cost- one ability point): Call over the horse.
Dawn & Dusk (cost- one ability point): This allows players to speed forward, so if a mission requires the gamer to meet someone at a specific time of day, they won’t have to wait around.
Sleep darts (cost- one ability point): These are great when a player need to get around during the day. Knock out a guard or two and you’re good to go.
And there you go! Take advantage of the Headshot XP and Assassination XP points to level up faster. You’ll want to be as stealthy as possible in the beginning of the game, so don’t brute your way through.
