More details about Assassin’s Creed Origins have been revealed lately by the game’s director, Ashraf Ismail. Among the confirmations are an in-game photo mode, the ability to have multiple game save files and why there are loot boxes.

Ismail confirmed an in-game photo mode, which allows players to take screenshots of Ancient Egypt. Photo modes have been popular additions to games for the past few years, with other games like the Uncharted series, GTA 5, and Horizon Zero Dawn all including the feature. Seeing as how Origins will likely take players to many scenic viewpoints, expect to see your social media flooded with some sand-filled images in glorious 4K.

Ismail also confirmed players will be able to have multiple save files on a profile, so if you have a friend or roommate who also wants to play Assassin’s Creed Origins, they can have their own game to mess around in.

For all you completionists out there, Ismail also confirmed players will be able to unlock all of the skills in Origins. This means if you can’t pick between one skill or another, just keep playing and you’ll be able to have both of them eventually. If you’re an achievement or trophy hunter, expect this challenge to be something you will have to accomplish to earn that platinum trophy or full gamerscore.

Ismail has also provided information on the Discovery Tour mode. This new combat-free, narrative-free game mode will focus on reliving history. Instead of enemies and objectives, the world is instead populated with tours, featuring voiced narration, curated by a number of historians. Characters in the Discovery Tour mode include Caesar, Cleopatra, Ptolemy XIII and Aya.

Loot boxes have also been discovered recently in Assassin’s Creed Origins and Ismail spoke with Eurogamer to explain that anything bought through a loot box, or through the game’s e-store, will be earnable in-game by playing as well. "You can get that from playing in the game," Ismail told Eurogamer about a costume found as an extra purchase in-game. "Everything that's in the e-store you can get from playing the game. It's just an accelerated way of playing the game."

The new Assassin’s Creed adds the loot box items for players who like to game the in-game economy. "There are people who like to go into a military location, infiltrate them, steal the loot and equipment and hopefully find some unique or legendary gear,” Ismail said of some Assassin’s Creed players. “Then there was a smaller set of people who would focus almost entirely on the economy, buying and selling stuff to gain as much money as they can. And we felt like, okay, that's a valid way to play the game - it's a part of the RPG [aspect], so we'll let them play the economy. So, it's one way to be able to purchase or get some of the unique items in the game."

Assassin’s Creed Origins releases for PS4, Xbox One and PC on Oct. 27.
