During Ubisoft's Ubisoft Forward show, the company showcased new gameplay for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The game looks astonishingly beautiful, with many features that have been carried forward from Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Although Ubisoft did not confirm the release date for the game, there have been several leaks confirming that the game will launch on November 17 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. The game will also launch on next-gen platforms soon after that.
With that being said, let us take a look at everything new that's coming in Assassin's Creed Valhalla:
- Raids – In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, you'll be raiding massive Saxon fortresses throughout England. You'll have to be strategic with your approach and lead your clan to launch a surprise attack on unsuspecting enemies.
- Mercenaries – You'll be able to create and customize a unique Viking character and share them with the AC Valhalla community. This character can be used by your friends to gain a helping hand during raids.
- RPG – The RPG mechanics in Assassin's Creed Valhalla have been fleshed out to deliver an immersive storytelling experience. Players shape the growth of Eivor and influence the world around the character. The choices you make in the game will always have an impact, no matter how big or small.
- Improved Combat – Ubisoft has greatly improved the combat in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and it now requires a decent amount of skill to dominate your enemies. The enemy AI is now much smarter and they'll force you to improvise. You'll have to heavily rely on your skills, abilities, and weapons to take out specific types of enemies throughout the game.
- Grand Open World – The vast open world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is filled with countless mysteries to explore and uncover. The interactive world design is not only breathtaking to look at, but it also serves as a ground for various activities like puzzle solving, hunting, fishing, and more.
- Settlements – You can construct and upgrade your settlements in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The deep customization of your home base allows you to include barracks, blacksmith, tattoo parlor, and more.
- Eivor – You will be able to change the gender of Eivor whenever you want.
