With the director of Assassin's Creed Valhalla having been fired from developer Ubisoft, the game's development doesn't seem to be going as smoothly as before. The game is very close to launching and it seems that the majority is already complete and submitted for certification. The game's certification confirms the presence of nudity as well as decapitations.

From what we know and have seen about Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the game borrows many of the design and gameplay elements from the previous two installments in the Assassin's Creed series and doubles down on them. If you haven't noticed already, Valhalla will allow players to change their character's gender seamlessly.

ESRB ratings for games inform users on what to expect when playing. The ESRB certification for Assassin's Creed Valhalla states that the "combat is highlighted by screams of pain and frequent blood-splatter effects." While Assassin's Creed fans will be familiar with this feature, the certification also states, "some weapons allow players to decapitate enemies [and] zoomed-in sequences depict victims' bones, organs, and muscles getting damaged by players' blades." The game will also feature sexual content in the form of a brothel mission. Since sexual content and gore hasn't been a central focus for the Assassin's Creed franchise previously, we'll have to see how fans of the series react to these new changes.

Moreover, the game will also have hallucinogenics such as mushrooms, and the ESRB certification details that when under the effect of hallucinogenics, the game will get distorted. It'll be interesting to see how nudity, violence, and hallucinogenics will play out in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is releasing on November 17 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. The game will also launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Users who buy Valhalla on current-gen platforms will be eligible for a free next-gen upgrade as well.
