We’re now wading into Focus Features’ branded #AtomicSummer campaign to promote David Leitch’s Atomic Blonde , so we can expect to be seeing a lot more footage from the upcoming film. In the trailer and previously released footage , we’ve seen the hard hitting action David Leitch is known for from John Wick. The new clip also gives us a different look at the dangers of the spy game.
While the bisexual dangerous female trope has long been used to fetichize characters for men, here it feels a little more believable. You feel a connection between the characters that grounds the scene. The clip ends with a solid spy reversal and cliffhanger and I’m excited to see more. The reviews of the film out of the SXSW screenings are solid and at the very least the action should be great.
Atomic Blonde releases July 28th and expect to see a bunch more clips come out before then for #AtomicSummer. What do you think of the clip?
