Get ready to experience a new adventure when Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora launches on December 7 for PC via Ubisoft Connect, Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is being developed by Massive Entertainment in partnership with Disney and Lightstorm Entertainment.
The game is a standalone adventure set within the Avatar universe and has players explore and protect the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen continent of Pandora. They take on the role of a Na'vi abducted as a child and raised by the human militaristic corporation known as RDA. They awaken on Pandora years after and are now dealing with RDA's threat to Pandora while trying to reclaim their ancestral heritage and discover what it means to be Na'vi.
The Na'vi character they control is customizable using different options, such as body types, voices, and body paint. They'll also need to learn what it means to be a Na'vi, like harnessing their formidable strength and agility while traveling across the stunning and dangerous open world. Considering that this same Na'vi character has experienced years of RDA training, they're familiar with human technology and weapons. This makes them uniquely capable of fighting RDA and protecting Pandora.
Indeed, there are many ways that players can defend themselves against the dangers in the Western Frontier and RDA since they can access various human weapons like shotguns or assault rifles. Those who prefer a more precise and stealthier approach can use the traditional Na'vi weapons like the bow and spearthrower.
As players push back against RDA, the environment slowly heals and gives access to new and valuable resources, letting them craft the best weapons and gear to suit their playstyle. Players can even fly in the sky by having their very own customizable companion banshee or ikran.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has been developed to maximize the power of PC and next-gen consoles. As such, players can look forward to experiencing stunning levels of detail, rendering, density, and immersive audio.
The game also offers accessibility options at launch like control remapping, subtitles and subtitle size adjustments, and colorblind modes. Players can go on an adventure on their own through single-player or with two-player online co-op.
