This month, subscribers to the premium PlayStation Plus service can get their hands on Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3 for free. Starting Tuesday, September 3, the games will be available for free download on the PlayStation Store. Users get to keep both games for free as long as they have an active PS Plus subscription.
Arguably the more popular item in the PS Plus September lineup, Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth and final installmant of the main Batman: Arkham series. In this action adventure, players don the cowl of Gotham's Dark Knight, the Batman, as he faces off against the villanous Scarecrow and the mysterious Arkham Knight. Batman: Arkham Knight was released in 2015, and is set one year after the events of the 2011 installment, Batman: Arkham City.
However, while Batman: Arkham Knight is definitely the main event, Darksiders 3 is no slouch. The third installment of the Darksiders franchise, Darksiders 3 is hack-and-slash action adventure game that puts players in the role of Fury, the most unpredictable of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. On a mission to track down and destroy the Seven Deadly Sins, players go up against the minions of evil to ensure the apocalypse goes off according to plan.
Both of these titles will be available for download starting on Tuesday, September 3. However, if you're already an active PS Plus subscriber, you still have a few days to get your hands on the PS Plus Free Games for August - the WipEout Omega Collection, and Sniper Elite 4. The August free titles will be available for download until September 2.
If you're unfamiliar with the PS Plus service, it's a gaming subscription that gives players access to PS4 online play, exclusive deals and discounts, and a monthly lineup of blockbuster titles made available for free. The games you get with PS Plus are yours to keep forever, provided that you have an active PS Plus subscription.
