Battlefield 2042 is one of the most highly anticipated titles of this year. So obviously, tons of fans will do anything to play the game earlier than anyone else. If you are one of them, you can sign up for the upcoming limited playtest on the official site. Keep in mind that simply signing up doesn’t guarantee you a spot on the beta test.
Besides playtesting, popular leaker Tom Henderson shared the official PC system requirements of BF2042. As you would expect, the game is quite demanding.
The game will only run on Windows 10 64-bit. So all those players who are still using the older Windows, it’s time to upgrade. Also, only DirectX 12 will be supported.
To run the game on minimum settings, you will need either AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i5 6600k processor. For GPU, you will need either AMD Radeon RX 560 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Your GPU should also have 4 GB of VRAM.
While the minimum specs are still reasonable, the recommended requirements are rather demanding. The CPU requirement raises the bar to either AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7 4790. For GPU, you need either AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060. Your GPU should also have 8 GB of VRAM.
