Black Panther arrives in theaters Feb. 16, 2018 and set video just gave us a tease from an upcoming fight scene. Currently filming in South Korea, Black Panther is seen clinging to the top of a car with a body of water and a city skyline in the background.
Ryan Coogler, known for Creed and Fruitvale Station is co-writing and directing Black Panther, which stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular hero who stole the show in Captain America: Civil War. He was also vital to the ending, where he chose to help Steve Rogers keep Winter Soldier safe in Wakanda in the post-credits scene. Now, he’ll fight to protect his country from inside and outside threats following the death of his father. The cast also includes Michael B. Jordan (Creed ), Lupita Nyong’o ( Star Wars: The Force Awakens ), Danai Gurira ( The Walking Dead ), Martin Freeman ( Sherlock) , Daniel Kaluuya ( Get Out ), Angela Bassett ( Boyz n The Hood ), Forest Whitaker ( Lee Daniels’ The Butler ), Sterling K Brown ( This Is Us) .
The Doctor Strange Blu-ray release contained beautiful concept art of Wakanda’s landscape. Known as a tech-savvy country home to Vibranium (what Captain America’s shield is made out of), Wakanda isolates itself from the rest of the world. Images show grand halls, an ultra-modern skyline reminiscent of Dubai or Rio de Janeiro, ancient architecture preserved behind translucent shields, intricate indoor gardens (which could be Necropolis ), a vibranium mine and dense jungle.
