Korean MMO publisher NCSOFT has just announced that Empyrean Shadows, the next chapter of their hit MMORPG Blade & Soul, will be coming on June 19, 2019. The paid DLC includes new story missions, new items, and unlocks the third class specializations for two of the game's character classes.
Blade & Soul: Empyrean Shadows continues where Act 9 left off, with players needing to work together to put an end to an evil plot from Mushin. Fans of Blade & Soul are excited to find out what happens next in the game's continued story, but that's not all the Empyrean Shadows DLC has to offer. With Empyrean Shadows comes all-new 3rd Class Specializations for the Blade Master and the Kung Fu Master. With new skills and abilities, and armed with powerful gear, players will now also be able to traverse the depths of the Warped Citadel and face the dangers that lie within. For the more laid-back adventurer, the Empyrean Shadows DLC also introduces a new, but long-awaited activity to Blade & Soul: fishing. With the new Fishing System, players will be able to earn rewards the more time they spend fishing and honing their abilities.
Publisher NCSOFT hasn't been stingy when it comes to content releases and updates for Blade & Soul. Since it launched in 2012, Blade & Soul has received dozens of major content updates and countless bug fixes, balance changes, performance improvements, and minor content drops. Just two weeks ago, Blade & Soul released a brand new location and questline through the Scarlet Tears update, and just last March it released the Legacy of the Hongmoon Clan expansion. With Empyrean Shadows, long-time players are looking forward to the long-awaited next installment to Blade & Soul's main campaign and story line, but with the frequency of content updates, there's bound to be even more content soon.
