Supercell has released a new Boom Beach teaser that shows Dr. T definitely not plotting his revenge somewhere in the Archipelago after he was forced into melon-farming retirement when his Mega Crab was defeated by Boom Beach players. Or at least, that’s what he wants you to think.
There has been no official word on when or if Dr. T and the Mega Crab will return, but considering how overwhelmingly positive the response to the event has been online, not to mention all the real world advertising Supercell has invested in Boom Beach for the Mega Crab event, it would seem foolish if Dr. T never did return riding high on his purple base of doom.
The general consensus online seems to be that Dr. T and the Mega Crab will return sometime in March, and continue to return as either a monthly or seasonal event , but keep in mind this is pure rumor sourced from baseless speculation. Supercell hasn’t made any indication one way or the other, but let’s just say we at iDigitalTimes wouldn’t be too surprised if Dr. T tried to have his revenge sooner rather than later.
Over 8 billion Boom Beach troops were deployed in the struggle against the Mega Crab, with 3 billion of those troops being Zooka troops, 1.8 billion being Riflemen and 1.3 billion being Heavy troops. In total, 133 million Mega Crab cores were destroyed by over 352 million total attacks on the Mega Crab. 38-percent of all attacks were successful for Boom Beach players.
Eight of the ten Boom Beach players on the global leaderboard originated from China, with the remaining two coming from South Korea and Iran.
Boom Beach is currently in the second half of its Cycle of Evil events. These mini-events loop every six days. Dr. T's Volcano Island is next up, scheduled to appear Feb. 4 at 6 a.m., and Hammerman Strikes Back! is after that, scheduled to appear Feb. 5 at 6 a.m.
