Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 - Nightmare will be launching this week. The upcoming season features a lot of Halloween-themed content, including two new maps, new weapons, and new rewards courtesy of the Nightmare Battle Pass.
Battle Pass
The Season 9 Nightmare Battle Pass has free and premium tiers. For the free tier, you will get the Tak-5 Operator Skill at Tier 14. This skill gives you the ability to heal your team even in the heat of battle. Furthermore, you will receive the Swordfish functional weapon at Tier 21. Other things that you can unlock in the free pass include the Striker and Cymbalism.
For the premium tier, you can unlock some Halloween-themed Operators, such as Artery wearing the Nosferatu costume and Iskra in the Arachnis outfit, among others. Progressing through the premium pass will also give you weapon blueprints for the PP19 Bizon: Haunted Haystack, Epic Swordfish MK2, and Peacekeeper: Spine Rattle. More weapon blueprints will be revealed soon.
New Maps
There are two new multiplayer maps introduced in Season 9. Halloween Standoff is just the scary seasonal version of the Standoff map, filled with Jack O’ Lanterns illuminating the entire area. This map is only available for a limited time, so be sure to try it out for yourself once it becomes available.
The Hovec Sawmill was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This map takes you to the deserted village of Kastovia where the open area will make you a prime target for snipers. Always watch your six, Operator!
Undead Siege
Another limited-time game mode to be introduced in Season 9 is the Undead Siege. It will be held on the “Isolated” battle royale map and here, you will face hordes of zombies, including the Heavy Gunner, Warden, and Pulverizer.
There will also be a 10v10 battle royale mode at night, and those who want to fight zombies elsewhere can do that in the “Blackout” map.
Drop Zone
If you’ve played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 before, then you’re probably familiar with the “Drop Zone.” But for the uninitiated, it is a multiplayer game mode where the main objective is for you to hold the zone while care packages drop onto the map.
You can earn Scorestreaks and more points if you and your team hold your positions in the designated drop zone. However, things will not be easy as other people will vie for that spot as well. Be prepared for what’s to come!
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 - Nightmare will launch on Thursday, October 21 at 8 p.m. EST.
